Annunciation Catholic School is proud to offer a superior preschool program designed to develop the readiness skills necessary for Kindergarten success. Our safe and nurturing classroom environment, led by a loving, state-certified teacher and assistant, allows our youngest learners to grow, explore, and thrive.
When Florida introduced the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) program, Annunciation quickly joined, enabling us to offer a high-quality early education experience at no direct cost to qualifying families.
Eligibility Requirements for VPK:
Children must be four years old on or before September 1st of the school year.
Children may not turn five before the school year begins.
Parents must provide proof of Florida residency and complete the necessary eligibility paperwork, which is submitted to the school.
Program Details:
The VPK morning session runs from 7:45 AM to 10:45 AM and is taught by Florida-certified early childhood educators with dedicated assistants. Our curriculum mirrors that of the preschool program and includes a balanced mix of art, music, physical exercise, indoor learning centers, outdoor playground time, and foundational early reading and math concepts critical for future academic success.
Additional Information:
Because VPK is a state program administered through Episcopal Children’s Services, students will need to enroll as new students for Kindergarten the following year. Successful completion of a Pre-Kindergarten program is required for Kindergarten enrollment.
Please note that enrollment in the VPK programs at Annunciation or St. Luke Childcare does not guarantee a Kindergarten spot at Annunciation Catholic School for the subsequent academic year.
For families who require extended care, children may remain in our Wrap Around VPK program after the morning session ends at 10:45 AM. This program provides supervision with engaging play, crafts, lunch, and rest time alongside familiar friends in a caring environment.
